Lehigh County Senior Center at 1633 Elm St., Allentown runs a UW program AND they are designated as a local “Cooling Center”. They will be open TO ALL Lehigh and Northampton County residents, regardless of whether or not they are members of the center. Click "News Title" for more information.

Older Adults And The Heat

As the temperature rises over the next few days (99 degrees on Thursday, 102 degrees on Friday and 98 on Saturday!), older adults face an increased risk of heat related injuries.

Lehigh County Senior Center at 1633 Elm St., Allentown runs a UW program AND they are designated as a local “Cooling Center”. They will be open TO ALL Lehigh and Northampton County residents, regardless of whether or not they are members of the center. LCSC will be offering cold drinks, and air conditioned activities to anyone in need of some time away from a heated situation.
