Pennsylvania’s Local Education and Resource Network (LEARN) provides individuals and organizations that participate in community outreach, family engagement, and transition activities the opportunity to stay up to date on exciting initiatives throughout the state; share and access resources on what’s working in local communities; and network with their peers locally, regionally, and throughout the state.
United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley holds LEARN Team meetings for Lehigh and Northampton Counties four times a year. Anyone can be a LEARN Partner—families, early learning providers or programs, school district representatives, business leaders, organizations, members of the faith-based community, or any other group or individual who is interested in supporting and promoting quality early learning. If you are an individual or organization that conducts or is interested in community outreach, family engagement, and/or transition in your local communities related to quality early education, then LEARN is for you!
The Lehigh Valley LEARN Team cares about children at all stages of development. In particular, we think children should receive proper care at the earliest of ages, be enrolled in quality Pre-K classrooms, and transition successfully into Kindergarten with the goal of success throughout their schooling career. We know that the earlier we invest in our children, the higher the rate of return to our community.
