Mobility

The Lehigh Valley Alliance on Aging (LVAA) heard that finding transportation to goods/services or finding organizations that bring goods/services to your home is a top priority for local older adults.
 
We worked on several initiatives to improve the quality of mobility in the Lehigh Valley.
  • LVAA staff attended Lehigh Valley Planning Commission’s  Lehigh Valley Transportation Survey (LVTS) monthly meetings to stay informed about local efforts and provide input on how the decisions would impact local older adults.
  • LVAA staff served on the Moving LANTA! Forward Planning Committee of LANTA (Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority) to provide input for improvement from an older adult viewpoint.
  • Creation of a directory of transportation and delivery providers
