Please join United Way and Age-Friendly Lehigh Valley for a 4-part series focused on supporting care partners. These sessions will provide resources for caregiving. Attendees may go to one session or all.

Thursday, September 5 | Medicare Basics

This session will focus on the basic tenants of Medicare Part A & B, as well as highlighting the differences between advantage and traditional plans.

Thursday, September 12 | How to know when it’s time to help with decision making

As a result of this session, participants will be able to understand different aspects of the ability to capably make decisions as cognition declines, identify signs that indicate diminished capacity for decision making and explore strategies for aiding and support to a person who is no longer capable of decision making in various life situations.

Thursday, September 19 | Levels of care

This session will be run by a panel of experts in the field who will provide education on the different levels of care including home care, personal care, and skilled nursing.

Thursday, September 26 | Advance planning & documents to prepare

This session will educate care partners on the types of documents needed for advance planning such as POAs, Living Wills, Guardianship paperwork, etc.
