On Saturday, October 22, our Tocqueville Society members and their families came together for the inaugural Make a Difference Day, in partnership with Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. Members and their families rolled up their sleeves and tackled projects at our nonprofit partners:
 
Third Street Alliance for Women & Children: Volunteers cleaned out 2 vans that transport their Learning Center students. They also cleaned and painted 3 shelter bedrooms and prepped the shelter lounge for painting with drop cloths and painters tape.
 
Parkland CARES Food Pantry: Volunteers prepped, sorted, organized and packed over 200 bags of non-perishable food items for the pantry’s monthly distribution. 
 
Ripple Community Inc.: Volunteers beautified the exterior of the agency by weeding and planting mums. They also packed and decorated care packages and decorated sugar cookies to give to community members that were on site.

Giving back comes in many forms, and volunteering with family offers a chance to bond, create memories and make lasting results. We appreciate everyone’s time and hard work and look forward to welcoming even more families next year.
