Welcome to the United Way Action Alert system, a way to make your voice heard on isses you care about.
2-1-1 is a help line dedicated to connecting Pennsylvanians to health and human services information and referrals. 2-1-1 covers 85% of Pennsylvanians, currently, and with the help of some funding, service will be brought to the rest of the population in the Northwest region of the state. At the present time, United Ways across the state, along with some private support, are funding 2-1-1 with approx. $3 million each year. The additional funding we are asking for from the state would help bring 2-1-1 service to citizens in the Northwest region, develop technological capabilities offering mobile text and chat, as well as, ensuring the 2-1-1 call centers are meeting national quality assurance standards.
