Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation.
Summer meal programs serve as a critical resource for children who access free- or reduced-lunch during the school year.

Summer meal programming allows children ages 3-18 to receive a free lunch and many times a breakfast, along with academic programming to prevent summer learning loss. Meals are distributed at schools, hospitals, health bureaus, libraries, recreation programs, summer learning programs and more.
“Summer meal programming is important because it ensures that all children receive a meal and academic programming to prevent summer learning loss while school’s out.”
