Free Confidential Referrals - 2-1-1

United Way supports 2-1-1, a free and confidential service that helps people across North America find the local resources they need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Every day thousands of people across North America turn to 2-1-1 for information and support—whether financial, domestic, health or disaster-related. 2-1-1 is a free, confidential referral and information helpline and website that connects people from all communities and of all ages to the essential health and human services they need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

2-1-1 can be accessed by phone or computer. A toll-free call to 211 or 855.501.6785 connects you to a community resource specialist in your area who can put you in touch with local organizations that provide critical services that can improve—and save—lives.

You’ll find information about:
  • Supplemental food and nutrition programs
  • Shelter and housing options and utilities assistance
  • Emergency information and disaster relief
  • Employment and education opportunities
  • Services for veterans
  • Health care, vaccination and health epidemic information
  • Addiction prevention and rehabilitation programs
  • Re-entry help for ex-offenders
  • Support groups for individuals with mental illnesses or special needs
  • A safe, confidential path out of physical and/or emotional domestic abuse

Whether in times of natural disaster or personal crisis, 2-1-1 is committed to being the first, most essential resource to anyone who needs help.

Discounted Prescriptions - FamilyWize, now SingleCare

United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley partners with FamilyWize, now SingleCare, to provide access to affordable prescription medications in order to ensure greater health and financial stability to community members.

How do I get a card?

  • Download and print a card
  • Text "family" to 700700 to receive a card on your phone (Message and data rates may apply. SingleCare Terms and Privacy). Once you have received the card, you can opt out of getting messages by texting “STOP.”
  • Download the SingleCare app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.        
 

Drug Price LookUp Tool:

  • You are able to see the SingleCare price of your prescription(s) by either going to www.singlecare.com or by downloading the free SingleCare app. Simply enter your drug name, dosage and zip code to find the lowest price within a 10 mile radius.

How it works:

Unlike many manufacturer coupons and patient assistance programs, SingleCare's discount drug card is free for all customers to use regardless of income or insurance status. SingleCare coupons are applicable to most prescription drugs, meaning you can find discounts on medications for each family member. Your family could get savings of 80% off prescription prices. To start saving, simply ask your pharmacist what the retail price of your prescription is. Then, apply a SingleCare coupon to get a free discount. Repeat this process every time you pick up a refill.

Our Board Builds Confidence Parkland High School freshman Samantha Moyer came to know TeenWorks when she was in middle school, where her and other students received funding for a yearly service project. Now a board member, Samantha says she’s learned and grown a lot in her past year as a member.
