Resilient Lehigh Valley Training Series
PLEASE NOTE
: This event has passed.
Working with others who have been impacted by traumatic experiences can take its toll psychologically, emotionally, and physically. By offering compassionate care to others, we open ourselves up to feeling their pain, fear and grief alongside them, leading to secondary traumatic stress and compassion fatigue.
In this workshop, you'll hear from local behavioral health experts on the following:
Recognizing the signs of secondary or vicarious trauma
Understanding how secondary trauma can lead to compassion fatigue
Understanding impact on our physical and mental health, our relationships and our work performance
Steps to take to reduce, prevent and respond to secondary trauma and compassion fatigue for yourself and your organization.

We are also authorized to provide participants with CEU credits, thanks to Marywood University.
